Songs and poetry

A number of people have posted songs and poems on the Free Zach group.
The situation has certainly inspired creativity, in all forms.
I wanted to archive them here, as they're inspiring, thoughtful, and prove further that we must end these destructive unconstitutional actions which imprison Zach and other unwilling participants like him.

only afew hours after i found out about all this, i wrote a song. i thought i might aswell post it here. sorry for anything in the song that might upset you, but this kind of thing really makes me mad. but heres the song.

Love in Action

Love your fellow man but only as a brother
No intimacy between the same sex, only the other
You preach for unity and to love the ‘sinner’
But your ideas are like feeding them anthrax for dinner

Love in action?
Yeah right

Homosexuality is not a fall from grace
Right to privacy to a loving embrace
In the land of the free gays can’t marry
No chance to hear “Dick do you take Larry?”

Love in action?
Yeah right

Brainwashing camp fro the gays
The abuse will be over in a couple days
You will become a prize Christian youth
And serve at the next town meeting, at our booth

Love in action?
Yeah right

If there is a true sinner out there
It’s you, for the crimes you bear
Against life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
All you are is a fascist, confess

Love in action?
Yeah right

All,

I cant even imagine how I would feel in Zachs situation. I cannot even try to comprehend it. This is a new work based partly on how I would probably feel and what little I know about Zach.

This work is dedicated to him and all the others who have been through this, are going through it, and yet might

Your friend

For Zachary: Mother did you love me?

Mother did you love me?
As my tears would flow
Mother did you comfort me?
When I was afraid to go?

Father were you proud of me?
When you heard my voice fly high
Did you ever love me?
Or was it all a lie?

I once worked up my courage
To tell you who I am
But all you did was prove to me
Your love was just a sham

You tried so hard to destroy me
Beatific smile on your face
As you took away all my world
And forced me to this place.

And will you expect me, family
To forgive you for what you’ve done?
I was on the verge of suicide
And you were the smoking gun

Father, mother I leave you
I call a once fond goodbye
And wonder as we pull away
Are you proud to watch me cry?

And the next time that you think of me
I hope you’ll understand what you’ve done
As you sit sad alone and crying
In the web you alone have spun.

Poem - Dedicated to Zach and others like him

Fear came for me.

Pain so many miles away
It is worse than pain that’s here?
Hurt so many miles away
Is it worse than a lovers tear?

Death so many miles away
Is it as bad as Death that’s near?
Fear so many miles away
Is there nothing here to fear?

Pain came for them, I said nothing
Hurt came for them, I silent slept
Death came for them, I kept my council

Fear came for me, I wept

Alone.

I wrote this a while back, I never really knew why.

If we dont take a stand on this, it wont be only zach that looses out, it will be us.
